fellowship and hangout

This was a day where we came the way we are and had a lovely fellowship and let ourselves loose to enjoy some fun and games literally. Its funny how the attire seems inappropriate but that is what it was all about. Out with the seriousness and in with the fun...

Reaching out @ Kabarak

It begins here
Guy from "Kaba" breaks the word down
May be it got a little deep... but they are not asleep though
the Collabo with Kaba. Amazing what you can do when people come together
That's all we had... we pulled through tho
That's me on the drums... it had been a while that I actually surprised myself..
O, thanks to this which made our singing easy and engaging with the everyone easy
We had the chance to visit Kabarak where we had the realisation of the need to do more outreaching at various campuses and high schools. so it's here where our outreach begins. I must point out that the reception is amazingly awesome.
Go ye to the world and love others to christ

I've always wanted to take care of some plants that would add life and class to my house and/or office. I disliked the fake plastic flowersIt's rather unfortunate that after several attempts this would turn out to be not so great because they withered up and end up dead.
I didnt give up though especially after I stumbled upon the following tips:
Depending on the type of plant, they would require a change of pot as time goes by as bloom to enable the roots stretch out to access more nutrients from the soil.
It is an obvious fact that the plants require light thus placing plants on dim lit corners won't do them any good. However some plants such as the ferns, and the dracaenas would do with such places.
Change of soil or adding some organic nutrients would give the plant more life. One may also consider grooming the plant to have that extra bloom. This may be achieved by cleanin the plant.
Having support for the plants would enable you to have some control over the size and the shape of the plant. I look forward to having an awesome environment.

Camp KembuCamp Kembu

Had an awesome time with the ngata choir at the Nitingale's farm in Njoro, Nakuru. Where we got replenished and had some self evaluation over the period of 24 hours. The place is serene, and quiet and the view of the horse farm brings to life the fairytale life style. It was the perfect way of starting the weekend. This camp got us rejuvinated and at the end of the day we went home after doing a rendition of Kirk Franklin's "I Smile" which had our heads nodding as the song stuck on our minds for the rest of the evening. Big up Camp Kembu!

ICC's implications in kenya

It is quickly dawning on Kenyans that the ICC process has implications that may likely affect the general peace in the country as it approaches the 2012 general elections.
The mood of the country is changed as the testimonies before Court make everyone recall the events that happened during the 2007-2008 election period. One would wonder whether openning wounds and dark memories would help the country heal and move foward. It would be imparative that the nation be brought together through forgiveness and reconciliation. This is something that would be very difficult if the current Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) which has been viewed as not functioning is anything to go by. The ICC process seems to polarise the country and may be seen as likely cause a recurrence of violence especially in the areas seen as volatile where the suspects come from. This therefore places the entire nation at risk of reverting back to an election period that is mirred by violence. It seems to be a fate that is likely to befall the country if proper steps or measures are taken to get the country in the right perception and direction

Red tape crap

I am indeed concerned about the levels of bureaucracy that has dogged the higher institutions of learning. The non-stop back and forth mind games that are driven by egocentric behaviours of those who have been given the mandate to churn out graduates every year. Makes one ask, Why all the fuss and hurdles to keep discouraging students that are eager to make good of their newly acquired education?

Greedy Millers to handle GMO maize

It is appalling that the importation of GMO Maize has been left to Millers who are the "cause" of the Food crisis in Kenya. (They sold out all the maize and surplus) And we expect these GMO's maize not to find itself as seed? I knw I wont be using any corn products as of next year.
